Where attic foam can go wrong

Roof leaks get harder to spot

In an unvented roof-deck job, foam bonds to the underside of the deck. A leak that would once have shown up as a ceiling stain can travel sideways under the foam and go unnoticed longer. If your roof is near the end of its life, replace it before foaming — not after.

Recessed lights and old wiring

Non-IC-rated can lights and certain older wiring types shouldn’t be buried in foam without addressing them first. We check fixtures during the estimate — it’s a quick fix up front and a real problem if missed.

Bathroom and dryer vents
