Spray Foam Insulation in Mabelvale, AR
Foam Masters ARK is a referral service, not an installer. We pass Mabelvale requests to independent partner spray foam contractors for a free written estimate. Mabelvale is a neighborhood in the southern part of Little Rock in Pulaski County (Encyclopedia of Arkansas), so many owners here start with our Little Rock page as well.
From railroad depot to Little Rock neighborhood
Mabelvale began as a nineteenth-century railroad town. Rail service between St. Louis and Texarkana by way of Little Rock started in 1873, a depot was built about ten miles from downtown, and a post office opened at Mabelvale that same year (Encyclopedia of Arkansas). Today the Union Pacific line and Interstate 30 still run through this corridor.
Little Rock voters turned down a 1966 annexation plan that included Mabelvale, and a 1967 effort to incorporate Mabelvale as its own city also failed. In May 1973 Little Rock annexed a large part of the county, Mabelvale included (Encyclopedia of Arkansas). For homeowners, that long history means the area mixes older houses with later additions and newer builds, so insulation needs differ from street to street.
Older houses and add-ons: what to ask about
A house that has been added onto more than once often has several attic sections, mixed framing and gaps where old and new roofs meet. Those joints are classic air-leak spots. When a partner contractor looks at a Mabelvale home like this, it helps to ask:
- Does each attic section need its own approach (roofline foam vs floor insulation)?
- Where do the old and new roof framing meet, and is that seam sealed?
- Is there old insulation that has to come out first, and is that priced as its own line?
- Are knee walls or bonus-room walls open to the attic?
Two Mabelvales: Pulaski and northern Saline County
The Little Rock neighborhood called Mabelvale is entirely in Pulaski County, but the name has also been used for an unincorporated section of northern Saline County, settled by German immigrants in the late 1800s. Street names such as Kling Road and Heinke Road come from those families, and there are several businesses along Chicot Road (Encyclopedia of Arkansas). When you request an estimate, give your street address so the request reaches a partner who covers your side of the county line. Saline County owners can also read our Benton and Bryant page.
Climate and pricing in brief
Pulaski County sits in IECC climate zone 3A, warm and humid (PNNL). For price ranges, our Arkansas spray foam cost guide keeps the sourced national averages in one place. Services: attic insulation, attic air sealing and crawl space encapsulation.
